During the summer, winter and all seasons in between, Panorama, nestled among BC's Rockies, is a recreation enthusiast's haven. Panorama Mountain Village, one of British Columbia's premiere ski resorts, is located 32 km (20 mi) southwest of Radium Hot Springs and 18 km (11 mi) west of Invermere. The ski resort attracts skiers and boarders from around the world with the lure of varied runs, deep powder and indelible memories. World-renowned for its skiing, snowboarding and numerous other winter activities, Panorama's summer facilities also garnish much attention. The Greywolf Golf Course offers the challenge of championship golf accompanied by a serene mountain backdrop. Whitewater rafting is another popular attraction in the area, with the Columbia River providing the rapids. Other summer activities include hiking, fishing and horseback riding. In the village itself, shops, restaurants, bars and accommodations can be found in abundance; in fact, the village can accommodate over 1,000 overnight guests at a time.
